Super Simple Crockpot Worcestershire Pork Roast
This is seriously the easiest, most affordable and delicious dinner ever. Not only does the crockpot do just about all the work with this Worcestershire Pork Roast, but there are literally only 4 ingredients for the WHOLE meal (well if you don’t include the water…lol). And it’s one of my family’s favorites.
One of the main ingredients in this meal is Worcestershire. We love the Heinz brand but you can use whichever is your go to. . If you aren’t a big Worcestershire fan don’t worry. You can reduce the amount and just have it give your pork a hint of flavor. And you can always add more onto your plate if you find you are looking for more of that flavor. But I will warn you, after you start to make this meal on rotation, you will find yourself adding more and more of that delicious liquid to your plate.
And because this Worcestershire Pork Roast is soooo easy to make I am including the two sides we love to eat with it in the recipe. The first side is white rice. This whole meal is pretty healthy in itself but if you wanted to bump up the healthiness you could switch out the white rice for brown rice, or wild rice. The second ingredient is steamed broccoli. Broccoli is one of my go to veggies because its easy to cook, it’s versatile and it’s also one of my family’s favs. If you’re not a broccoli fan you could substitute fresh green beans, asparagus, cauliflower or squash with this meal.
Alright alright enough talking about the meal. Let’s get into the actual recipe of it.
Crockpot Worcestershire Pork Roast w/White Rice & Broccoli
Ingredients:
- 4lb Pork Shoulder Roast
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup Worcestershire (add more or less according to your taste)
- 1 ½ cups White Rice
- 3 cups Water
- 2 medium sized Broccoli heads
- ½ cup water
- Place pork shoulder roast in crock pot and turn on high for 4hrs or on low for 8hrs. (I have always made this in the crockpot, but I am sure you could cook it on the stove top on low for several hrs as well. Add in the 1 cup of water and the 1/2 cup of Worcestershire. Place lid on top and let cook.
- When roast is at 20 minutes left to cook, start on your rice. Place 1 1/2 cups of rice and 3 cups of water in in medium pot. Place on stove top on high until boiling. Once boiling reduce flame to low. As low as it will go. Allow rice to cook thoroughly roughly 18min.
- Cut your broccoli into bit size pieces. Place in a pan and add 1/2 cup water. Set pan on stove top and turn flame on med-low. Let broccoli cook until tender and bright green.
- Once sides are complete and roast has finished the only thing left to do is plate up that delicious goodness and enjoy! We love to add some of the extra juices from the crockpot on to our plate. We just can’t get enough of that goodness!
Thats all there is too it. I told you this is one of the easiest dinners ever. And its super affordable. You can find a pork shoulder roast on sale for as little as .99 cents a lb. as some grocery stores. I did recently and posted it to my Instagram stories. I love to share when I find great food deals, so make sure to follow me over there so you can see all of them too!
