As the fall comes so does the cold dry air. One thing I hate worse than being cold is dry, irritated and flaky skin, that is exactly what the dry air brings. Have no fear though. There are steps we can take to help keep our skin hydrated, healthy and smooth. Wanna keep your skin calmer, softer and more radiant? Then keep on reading to find out how to transition into fall skincare.
Transitioning Into Fall Skincare 101
1.) Utilize a moisturizer with a hydrating booster – Our skin is dryer then usual during the fall/winter months. The dry air pulls out moisture from our skin and leaves it itchy and irritated it. Keep your skin hydrated and moisturized with a moisturizer that includes a hydrating booster. Want to see my favorite customized skincare that includes hydrating booster as well as many more targeted boosters for your own unique skin concerns. Check it out here.
2.) Continue to wear SPF – Summer is not the only time to wear SPF. Not at all. SPF should be worn year round. UVB and UVA rays remain year round not matter the season. And if you think because you are indoors your are safe from them, please now that UVA rays penetrate through glass and can still harm you while you are driving around in your vehicle or sitting indoors near a window.
3) Hydrate from the inside out – fight dry flaky skin from both sides of the line. Not only from the outside with moisturizers but also from the inside. Be sure to drink at least 8 glasses of water each day.
4) Use a sheet mask weekly – Fight off the dry skin by boosting the moisture in your skin with a weekly sheet mask. I love this Bio-cellulose mask that boosts tons of hydrating ingredients which increases the hydration in your skin up to an amazing 200% in 15min flat. You can snag yours here.
5) Book your facial – Utilize the benefits of fall and book your facial now. With fall comes less sun exposure and less UV exposure. Which is the perfect time to have a chemical peel, laser treatments or micro needling done.
6) Keep your pout hydrated – Don’t forget your pout. Prevent dry chapped lips before they appear with a hydrating lip mask at night and lip balms during the day. I love these Lip Butters. They are a mixture of a lip-balm and a lipstick. Hydrating and healing ingredients with just a hint of pigment to keep your pout looking its best. You can find them here.
